Since its inception, renowned acts from all over the globe have graced this magnificent affair with their performances. This year, Tom McConville and Michael Biggins, Katie Spencer Jon Doran and the Northern Assembly, Lady Maisery, Ceitidh Mac, The Canny Band, and many other amazing performers will impress you with their impeccable music.
After three decades of hosting the Saltburn Folk Festival in Redcar, it moved to its current location at Saltburn-by-the-Sea 25 years ago. Despite the two-year break due to Covid, Saltburn was able to keep its ties with both performers and audiences alive by organizing a Virtual Gathering in 2021! New directors now take charge of running this event, which they triumphantly brought back as an entire live festival in August 2022 that offered hundreds of visitors hours upon hours of entertainment while also providing some fun for local residents too.
The Saltburn Folk Festival is committed to fostering creativity and acceptance through the folk arts. This event is devoted to connecting its vibrant Tees Valley, North Yorkshire, and North East communities with one another while extending a warm welcome to those who travel from afar. By striving for innovation and inclusivity in all that they do, the Saltburn Folk Festival hopes to create an environment of celebration and joy.
