Primavera Sound Madrid

Primavera Sound, also known simply as Primavera, is an annual music festival that takes place every late May to early June in Barcelona's Parc del Fòrum. The first edition began in 2001 at Poble Espanyol and was moved over the years to a more important site along the seaside of Parc del Fòrum by 2005. What makes Primavera so unique, though, is its diverse range of artists from all backgrounds combined with its urban city-feel atmosphere, making it a destination point for people young and old alike around the world!

Primavera Sound is a renowned and highly-anticipated music festival that occurs yearly, primarily in Spain but now also in Portugal. It's the most significant of its kind across Europe, particularly for those located near the Mediterranean. To meet the demands of its popularity, Primavera Sound expanded to Porto in 2012 with an additional event held at Parque da Cidade one week after the primary edition concluded.

2022 saw the introduction of four new editions to the Primavera music festival: Los Angeles, Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires, and São Paulo. To add an extra layer of excitement, since 2019, a miniature version known as 'Primavera Weekender' has been celebrated annually in Benidorm each November.

The festival brings forth a wide assortment of music, featuring everything from pop and indie to rock and electronic. It also showcases the most cutting-edge trends in dance music. Since its inception in 2001, the event has consistently grown with each edition, increasing numbers and gaining wide recognition from media outlets. The first year saw 8,000 visitors, while last year's attendance reached an impressive 500,000! In truth, though, the journey began many years before that in Barcelona, with its first edition in 2001. The spirit of exploration and discovery is alive even 620km away from where it all started - now traveling through Arganda del Rey and into Madrid in 2023! Primavera Sound is boundless, setting out on new paths for all the festival's enthusiasts to explore together.
