Primavera Sound Barcelona

Primavera Sound Barcelona Festival, or simply Primavera, is an annual musical celebration at the end of May and the start of June held in Barcelona's Parc del Fòrum. This renowned festival began in 2001 at Poble Espanyol before relocating to its current home on the seaside - Parc del Forum - four years later.

Primavera Sound Barcelona is one of Europe's most renowned and heavily attended music festivals, particularly in the Mediterranean. As an urban festival seamlessly integrated into the city, Primavera Sound has become a social gathering for people from all walks of life and ages alike to enjoy fantastic live performances by artists from every genre imaginable.

Celebrating an extensive range of musical styles, this festival proudly showcases everything from hit pop and indie rock to the most cutting-edge electronic and dance music.

The flourishing success of the festival led to its extension in 2012 to Porto, Portugal. It takes place at Parque da Cidade a week after the main event. In 2022, four new editions were announced for Los Angeles, Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires, and São Paulo. Moreover, Primavera Weekender has been held annually every November since 2019 in Benidorm with a much smaller capacity than that of the original festival.
