Since its inception in 1990 by the renowned composer Leonard Bernstein and London Symphony Orchestra, Pacific Music Festival (PMF) has provided an educational platform for thousands of young musicians from over 77 countries and regions. Across three decades, PMF's summer program in Sapporo-Japan has become integral to shaping many budding talents into today's leading figures within classical music circles.
This international music education festival, hosted in Sapporo, provides a platform for young aspirants to display their talents and skills. These concerts feature aspiring musicians and experienced educators who work together to develop the musicality of these youths. This is an opportunity for individuals from around the world to hone their passion within the safe confines of this event!
Music outreach is an essential part of the Pacific Music Festival mission. PMF's various programs are designed to support and nurture young musicians in our local area and broaden the reach of classical music to a larger population. Every summer for approximately one month, these talented young artists from different backgrounds come together with a common language: music - allowing them to collaborate and gain valuable experience while deepening mutual understanding across international borders.
