In 2017, Opal Agafia discovered a new sound called Ozark Mountain Soul. This unique genre draws from many genres, including soul, blues, country, jazz, gospel swing, and traditional mountain music, to create something fresh that pays homage to the past yet dares to push toward the future. Agafia's love for her beloved Ozarks lies at its core: an ode to old-time swing mixed with rock-and-roll, all swimming in heartfelt emotion.
