In 2005, the Boulonnais Urban Community set out to create a unique space for the younger generations to come together. Festival du Poulpaphone was born from this ambition and has since become highly renowned for its unique and ambitious curation of programming. In only a few short years, it has become an unprecedented event that brings people together from all walks of life.

In 2010, the festival began as a traveling event and was set up in Garromanche's industrial zone. Over time, many improvements were made to ensure attendees could enjoy an even more fantastic experience, such as increasing capacity to 3,500 people per day! With this larger space comes the convenience of moving freely between stages while taking in all the Festival du Poulpaphone has to offer each year.

For people of all ages, from Boulogne to beyond, the Poulpaphone has become a source of musical discovery and connection at the start of each new school year. For some, it is their first-ever festival experience - a moment for them to share in peace and music that can be cherished safely.
