Tucked away between office complexes along the banks of the Bille canal in Hamburg's Hammerbrook sits Expedition Südpol. Recently restored with generous assistance from the Hamburg Cultural Authority and Kreativgesellschaft Hamburg and many volunteers, this old building now serves an important role in fostering arts and cultural events that challenge existing perceptions. Supported by a local non-profit association, music performances, and other various programs are held regularly at Expedition Südpol—come experience it for yourself!
The Expedition Südpol is a great destination for cultural events that range from techno parties to queer and downtempo events, punk concerts, and cinema. Come for freedom, fun, and respect; stay for up to 3 to 48 hours! Please be mindful of those around you by following the house rules: no photos or videos allowed.
