The Chester Folk Festival is a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) in England, committed to the education and appreciation of British and Multicultural folk art. This includes traditional and contemporary music, dance, crafts, spoken word poetry & storytelling throughout Chester London and its surroundings via an annual festival as well as participatory workshops, activities, and other occasions held year-round.
Every year, the Chester Folk Festival comes alive in Kelsall, just 8 miles from Chester. Both local and national folk artists gather to honor all aspects of their beloved genre in a multi-generational setting. There's something for everyone on this lineup that has been carefully crafted with an eye toward family fun: music fans, young and old, will be thrilled with what they find here.
Prepare for an unforgettable four-day entertainment experience from May 26th to 29th, 2023! Its exceptional lineup of talented artists will captivate you with its fantastic music and performances. Witness extraordinary acts such as The Churchfitters, Sherburn Bartley Sanders, Conservatoire Folk Ensemble, Pelican Babies, Thorpe & Morrison, Igloo Hearts, John Warburton, and Kingfisher, along with many more!
If you plan to camp the entire weekend or just come for a day, the festival is held at Kelsall Green - an expansive area located behind Morris Dancer pub in Kelsall.
