Twice every year, Munich offers its renowned Tollwood Festival: a captivating cultural and environmental celebration. From June through July, it takes place at Olympiapark Süd while its winter edition commences shortly before the first Sunday of Advent on Theresienwiese.
When the first Tollwood Sommerfestival began in 1988, local artists from across the country graced its stage. Since then, as it gained notoriety and a following of devoted attendees, more international acts have joined in on this celebrated summertime tradition.
Since 1988, the Tollwood Sommerfestival has taken many shapes and forms. Rock, singer-songwriter, jazz, and blues have all been heard in this cultural hub. The festival's mission is to bring together culture through music, theater, cabaret, and art alongside a sense of ecological awareness, with most events being free to attend!
The Tollwood Sommerfestival 2023, a grand event from June 16th to July 16th at the Olympiapark Süd, will be filled with an incredible lineup featuring Adel Tawin, Porcupine Tree, Die Fantastischen Vier, Silbermond Ska-P and Beth Hart plus more. Make this summer memorable by joining us for great music and unforgettable experiences!
