Rigas Ritmi Festival

The incredible Rīgas Ritmi Festival has welcomed some of the world's most remarkable artists, from Bobby McFerrin to Diane Reeves and Avishai Cohen. It has also featured renowned Latvian musicians such as Victor Wooten and Freddy Cole - remembering young local talents! It is no wonder this event continues to attract a global audience yearly.

In the spring of 2011, the Rīgas Ritmi festival had a tour in the United States. Maris Briezkalns Quintet captivated crowds with their concerts and interviews around Washington, Philadelphia, and New York. This journey culminated at none other than Blue Note Jazz Club located in New York City–the first time Latvian artists have headlined there! This momentous event was made possible through cooperation and sponsorship by NYU & NYFA (New York University & The New York Foundation for the Arts)
