Our Common Nature: An Appalachian Celebration

Yo-Yo Ma has collaborated with Big Ears to devise a day of cultural activities that amplify the myriad voices of Appalachia—Indigenous, European, Latinx, Black, and beyond—while bringing together local artists, experts, leaders, and community members in an analysis of the future guided by nature. Our Common Nature: An Appalachian Celebration with Yo-Yo Ma & Friends is proudly showcased by Big Ears.

Come celebrate Appalachian culture with a one-of-a-kind concert experience in Knoxville's World's Fair Park on May 2023. Yo-Yo Ma will be joined by musical guests, performers, poets, and dancers as you explore the carefully curated festival grounds, which feature some of the best regional food and arts & crafts around. Plus, take part in storytelling events and square dancing music-making sessions—it'll all be here!
