The Leffingeleuren 2023 festival serves as an annual celebration of music. From Friday, September 15th to Sunday, September 17th, in the town of Leffinge, revelers can experience discovering young talent and appreciate the environment around them. At its core, this three-day event was created for attendees to connect with one another while basking in inspirational sounds and ambiance that cannot be found anywhere else!
Since its launch in 1977, Leffingeleuren has developed from a folk, jazz, and blues-centric event to encompass pop-rock and reggae. By the mid-90s, area musicians had shifted their focus to hip-hop and dance music, further establishing this beloved festival's longevity.
With a mission to establish itself as an ideal setting for music lovers, Leffingeleuren has been running successfully since its inception over four decades ago. In 2015, the festival underwent a transformation, focusing even more on upcoming artists from various genres of music. For three days straight, starting and promising national and international musicians have had their opportunity to shine in front of audiences filled with musical connoisseurs who will truly appreciate what they bring to the stage.
The upcoming style festival is composed of two distinct parts: ticketed concerts in Zaal and Café De Zwerver, as well as the chapel concert tent. While there's plenty to see for those willing to pay a fee, partakers can also enjoy an abundance of free festivities surrounding the church! Around the church, you will find twelve food trucks, one DJ stage with local & young music acts, six street theatre performances, art from Beaufort collaborations for light animation along with Cinémobiel, plus modern innovations courtesy of Barco!
