The Festival Restons Sérieux is a French music festival that is both beautiful and unique. It's the only event in France where old and new French music is performed together, showcasing the alternative scene in the country. The Supersonic room in Paris has been popular among international music groups since it first opened. Festival Restons Sérieux is organized by the Supersonic team, inviting musicians who bring a fresh and innovative approach to music and the use of the French language. This is a manifesto of the current local underground and independent scene, which is also the focus.
Festival Restons Sérieux will host 22 concerts in July this year featuring a diverse range of music genres, including post-punk, battered song, street wave, psychedelic pop, industrial heritage, and experimental sound explorations. Some of the noteworthy performances include Astaffort Mods' dadaist rap, Badaboum's post-punk (led by the singer from Heimat), Yolande Bashing's bittersweet techno with vocals, Jean-Pierre Fromage's WTF UFO act, Infecticide's electro-punk cosplay, Reymour's psychotically romantic pop, and A Trois Sur La Plage's straightforward synth-pop.
Festival Restons Sérieux will have a punk, synthetic, and slamming music performance at the Bataclan. To make this edition more exciting and give it a grand finale, it will be strategically released during the fireworks display in the middle of July. Festival Restons Sérieux's approach encompasses irreverent, funny, and melancholic performances. Gwendoline, who claims to be a "shlag wave" icon, offers theatrical punk with Maulwürfe's mole troupe. At the same time, Vive La Fête's cult electro-clash, as depicted in Xavier Dolan's Les Amours Imaginaires, provides symbolic value. These acts showcase the power of Francophone performers and are sure to get audiences dancing and moving.
