Estonian Music Days Festival (Eesti Muusika Päevad) is an annual music festival that focuses on presenting contemporary music from Estonia. Since 1993, this event has been held each spring and is organized by the Estonian Composers' Union in collaboration with several other organizations, such as the Estonian Music Information Centre. This festival promises a unique musical experience full of culture and discovery!
Established in 1979, the inaugural Estonian Music Days Festival took place over ten days in Tallinn and was sponsored by the Estonian Composers' Union. During this time, attendees could enjoy 18 concerts and eight theatrical performances and attend a press conference. Since 1991 it has been held annually under its current name, with regular events scheduled each spring since 1993.
For the first time, the Estonian Music Days Festival 2023 will feature two distinct themes in its programming – one for Tallinn and another for Tartu. Although each city may have a different focus, their differences will create balance and unity throughout the festival. These complimentary styles of music result in an immersive experience that is greater than just the sum of its parts.
Estonian Music Days Festival 2023 in the capital will focus on exploring soul and breath. You arrive at the event breathless. As usual, your life has left you gasping for air when you should be enjoying it instead. Take a deep inhale and exhale, eager to take in every moment of this show with pleasure, together ready to burn anyone who dares disrupts this perfect harmony that awaits you both. You listen with all your heart can offer, as if listening is a way of breathing itself.
