The inaugural Drakenbootfestival occurred in 2005, commencing as a one-day event with only one company race. However, this gathering quickly developed into the beloved festival that people know today in Apeldoorn. Now, the doors open to around 100,000 excited guests and 120 passionate dragon boat teams!
